I had so many favorites from this beautiful family portrait session with Evan, who’s two-and-a-half years old, and Bellbird the two-month-old yellow Labrador puppy that I had to post more.

This family was such a delight to photograph. We spent a beautiful afternoon with them in a Pasadena park. Evan and Bellbird are probably two of the cutest subjects ever to be on the blog, and with a two-and-a-half-year-old toddler and a two-month-old yellow Labrador puppy in the same portrait session, we were sure kept on our toes. I love Evan’s beautiful blue eyes and the matching blue shirt and lollipop. I love Bellbird’s soft, soft fur. And I love the joy that this family exuded. Very cute photos. You’re so good with light! The tree trunk was a creative spot to pick. It looks like it would have been difficult to get enough light on Evan’s face there, but you made the photos look amazing! A two-and-a-half-year-old toddler and a two-month-old yellow Labrador puppy. Can you get anything cuter than that? Evan is such an adorable, active little boy, and Bellbird the yellow Lab is such a playful, lovable puppy. We had so much fun running around with them in a beautiful Pasadena park. The blurred background makes you focus on the boy but then the eye is drawn down to the dog and the sticks, typical boy necessities. Love the composition.

It’s always a treat for me to post about the adorable Audrey and Phillip, and Audrey’s 4th birthday party is no exception. I can’t believe she’s already 4 years old! You’ll see from these photos that the kids had tons of fun at this birthday party. Here’s the birthday girl looking happy and so cute. She’d picked out the delicious strawberry ice cream cake herself.
They all looked so festive in their party hats.
Here the kids are eagerly awaiting their balloon animals. I love their excited expressions. Actually, most of the boys wanted their balloons made into swords, and most of the girls wanted them made into flowers.
Birthday parties weren’t this much fun when I was a kid! The kids absolutely loved the children’s magic show, and Audrey had a great time being the magician’s assistant.
The reaction from the kids in the audience was just adorable. If you notice the two little girls in the back, they’ve laughed so hard they’ve fallen over.

Where the heck did autumn go? I can’t believe it’s somehow already past the middle of November. I could have sworn Thanksgiving wasn’t for another two weeks, and yet here it is coming up next week.
What better theme for a 7-year-old girl’s birthday party than a Hawaiian luau? Add a bunch of leis, a hula-dancing girl cake made of cupcakes, tiki lights, tropical fruits, and a big group of laughing, chattering girls, and you’ve got the makings for a fantastic Hawaiian-themed birthday party in Pasadena / Altadena. These girls had endless energy and were so cute and fun to photograph.

If you remember the ever-adorable Phillip and Audrey, then you’ll recognize this birthday boy. Phillip is now 5 years old! Kids just grow up so fast. I still remember when he was only 6 months old. We last saw Phillip and Audrey at Audrey’s birthday party a few months back. This time it was Phillip’s turn, and we had a blast at his Huntington Beach birthday party full of kids and fun. Who doesn’t like a great day at the beach with sun, sandcastles, and hot dogs?
We first have the birthday boy being a silly ham for the camera.
Next is Audrey looking as cute as usual. Don’t you love how decked out they are for the beach?
The day started out with a light fog, which was perfect for photographs.
Here they are building sandcastles.
Then the kids decided to build a hole. Just a hole that they could fill with water (actually, that the dads could fill with water for them) and stand in. Endless entertainment.
