There’s supposedly a statistic that 80% of Stanford graduates who get married end up marrying someone else from Stanford. Sure enough, Evan and I are part of that statistic, and when we first talked with Ginille and Kenny, we were excited to find out that they were too!
They met in chemistry class, while Ginille was in her freshman year and Kenny in his sophomore year. As Kenny tells us, one day he looked behind him in the auditorium and saw a girl with big curly hair, fast asleep in the middle of the lecture, her head bobbing up and down as she continually tried to wake herself. He ignored the rest of the lecture and instead just watched her sleep.
Through that academic quarter and the next several years, they developed a friendship. Kenny says they never considered each other romantically, but he “was not oblivious to her beauty or radiant personality.” During Ginille’s senior year, Kenny came back to Stanford to play on the men’s basketball team. One night, Ginille, wanting Cold Stone ice cream and some company, called Kenny and they met up. They stayed until closing, and for the next many months, they used “studying” together as an excuse to spend time with each other. And seven months later, they shared their first kiss. The rest is history.
Kenny and Ginille, thank you again for having us capture your beautiful day. We feel so lucky to have been a part of it and to count you as friends.

Ginille and Kenny opted to do a First Look, which I love because it gives you the opportunity to see each other for the first time in a quiet, intimate moment without anyone else around. It often results in the most adorable photos of the day, and this day was no exception.

The wedding ceremony couldn’t have been more beautiful or perfect.
